At first, I thought this book was going to reinstate the slovenly goodness of a good-for-nothing which was against all my go-to-the-ant ideals, but little did I think that what Tom Hodgkinson hopes to bring about into our minds is pure hardwork. Because it is the denying of all capitalist ideals and it is almost the complete denying of self and all that was taught to us. Kinda like carrying the cross. So it is hard work that invigorates rather than so often drains you. (remember, sabbaticals?) He exposes many of the capitalist conspiracies such as the true nature of debt, and the whole notion of the survival of the fittest. Put your anti-depressants away, and start reading this book. It’ll help more.
